Hereford half marathon and 10km
The Hereford Half Marathon is a challenging 13.1 mile road race that takes participants on a single lap through the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. Containing a good balance of undulating and flat sections, it is a fantastic route for those wanting to challenge themselves or train for a marathon. In contrast, and replacing the Half Marathon Relay, the Hereford 10km Run is a single lap with an elevation of just 22m, meaning it is great for those looking for a quick time or a stepping stone onto the half marathon course.
The Hereford Half Marathon course record, set in 2006, is 1:08:57. Could you be the first runner in seven years to break it? As the Hereford 10km Run is a brand new event, you could be the first record holder!
Entry fees for the Hereford Half Marathon are £18 for an affiliated runner and £20 for an unaffiliated runner in advance. Entry fees for the 10km Run are £15 for an affiliated runner and £17 for an unaffiliated runner in advance.
Fees for all on the day entries to both the Hereford Half Marathon and 10km Run are £25.
Your entry fee includes use of changing rooms, showers, lockers and a bag drop at Hereford Leisure Centre. You will receive a timing chip for accurate course time, a warm-up prior to the start of the race and the opportunity for a sports massage post race (donations are gratefully received).
All runners will receive a medal, water bottle and snack at the end of the event. There will be prizes for the top three male and female runners in the main category, and the top male and female finishers in the veteran categories.
Runners will be provided with water during the race: the Half Marathon route will have four water stations and one sports station, and the 10km route will have two water stations.
Event photography will be available.
