Two Bays Tough Ten 2015
Due to cancellation in 2014, 2015 finally sees the refreshing of the former ‘Tough Ten Challenge’ to create the new ‘Two Bays Tough Ten’. The updated 10 mile course uses sections of beach in Weston Bay and Sand Bay, (closed) tarmac road along the seafront and coast, sections of promenade, woodland trails within Worlebury Woods, and the National Trust headland and trig point on Sand Point. In parts it is flat and fast; in others there are challenging climbs and long down hill sections. Most compete in ordinary running shoes.
The event has earned an enviable reputation for its excellent facilities - both for
competitors and spectators. In the race HQ there is a cafeteria and plenty of seating, along with hot showers for the runners. Out on the course there will be abundant marshals, two water stations, plenty of first aid support .... and a traffic free running course!
