Hi all,

Due to the Red weather warning for snow today, there will be no running club tonight (Thursday 1st March).

Snow frequently conceals ice underneath, and running in current conditions carries a high risk of injury.

Many thanks to all those who volunteered for SRC's parkrun takeover on Saturday 13th January. We filled all the volunteer positions and oversaw Ashton Court's second biggest parkrun ever, with almost 600 runners braving the cold.

We're looking forward to seeing all our new and returning runners tonight on our first run of 2018!

Please remember to bring 50p and hi viz clothing. Some form of hi viz kit (fluorescent clothing, reflective material and/or flashing lights) is mandatory to run with us.

Congratulations to all the runners who completed the Bristol Half Marathon. 59 runners completed the course and we were also hugely oversubscribed with volunteers to man our station on Cumberland Road - thanks to all those who volunteered and congratulations to all the runners.

Southville celebrated its 10th birthday on 12th August with a black tie event at the M Shed on Bristol's Harbourside.

Hi Everyone,

A reminder that we will not be meeting at the Southbank tonight - we are meeting in the small park at the beginning of the Towpath under the Cumberland Basin flyover (see Google Maps:

Congratulations to the 20 SRC runners who took part in this year's London Marathon - an amazing turnout and 20 amazing achievements.

Good luck to all those entering the ballot for 2018 - remember you have to be in it to win it, as many times as it takes!

11 Southvillers represented us in the Bath Half Marathon this weekend with a number recording personal bests and first ever halfs - congratulations everyone. Elsewhere, Mark Kemp was victorious at the Railway River Run and Jane Faram took the women's 2nd place in the Silverstone Half.

Congratulations to the Southvillers who tackled the 46 mile Green Man Ultramarathon earlier this month. An excellent Southville haul of silverware with Phil Richards winning the women's race, Mark Ducker taking bronze in the men's and Southville also taking home the team prize.

A record 64 Southvillers turned out on Sunday for the Great Bristol Half Marathon. Congratulations to all finishers, and also to Tony Myers and Jo Finkel (and anyone we've missed) who stood out in the rain to marshal and cheer us on.

28 Southvillers headed to Bathurst Estate in Cirencester for a full 24 hours of running through day and night and all kinds of terrain. We had two teams of eight, two of five and two amazing solos in Mark Ducker and James Miller who went through the entire 24 hours by themselves.

Congratulations to the 59 Southville runners who turned out for the Mobmatch 10k on Friday.
